A dive into the deep. A race against the air.

The ocean is not what it used to be.

Somewhere beneath the neon-lit surface, past the drifting debris of a civilization that threw everything into the sea and called it progress, past the schools of circuitboard fish and the territories of mechanical sharks — there is a floor. A bottom. An end.

Nobody has reached it.

You will pilot a battered diving bell into the abyss. Your oxygen is ticking. The darkness is rising. And something down there is waiting.

ABYSMAL is a survival descent game set in a cyberpunk ocean. Guide your diving bell through three increasingly hostile zones — from the trash-choked shallows to the pitch-black deep sea — while managing your oxygen, dodging deadly obstacles, and somehow staying alive long enough to reach the ocean floor.

Three minutes. One dive.

🎮 What to expect:

  • A handcrafted cyberpunk underwater world that gets darker — and deadlier — the deeper you go
  • Debris, fish schools, anglerfish, sharks, sea mines, and something much, much worse lurking in the deep
  • Oxygen management that keeps you on the edge of your seat
  • A tight high-score system based on how well you survive, not just how far you fall
  • A sea mine that will end your run instantly

🎵 About the music:

ABYSMAL was built around a song, Waikiki Abyss by Fred Vanterra, and runs for exactly the length of one dive — three minutes of cinematic atmosphere that pulls you deeper with every beat. The game and the track were designed together, and it shows.

Listen before you play. Or play and discover it for the first time in the dark. Check out my song on Spotify.

Although the game itself is AI-powered, this song is handwritten and handmade. Click here to read more about the album Waikiki Synth.
